More pics of Cody
Cody at the Ocean
And Darla with the Doggin pole!
Someone had tied a stick to a large piece of driftwood and we called it the "Doggin' pole" because it attracted dogs (like a fishing lure would attract fish).

Tahoma National Cemetary on the 5th of July
I'll bet that many people don't know we have our own "baby Arlington" in Kent, WA.
Note the flags, Mt. Rainier in the distance, and many, many Arlington-like grave markers. Click on the picture to enlarge the image.
We can't forget the extreme sacrifice some have made for us.
Primula
Have you ever seen such a wierd primrose?! I found the plant the other day at the local Ace Hardware. Definitely a member of the primrose family.
Butterfly exhibit at the zoo.
Some More Zoopics
We visited the Woodland Park Zoo recently. I was impressed with the improved habitat for the animals. However, the improvement made the viewing a bit difficult. I'm glad the zoo has prioritized the animals' needs over our viewing pleasures.

Chocolate cosmos
Chocolate-scented flowers! Isn't nature a wonderful thing?
I went flower-shopping this weekend with my friend A. I usually dislike shopping altogether; however, the great aspects of flower-shopping are:
- 1. You can always find the right color and the right size.
- 2. No dressing rooms or anxious salespeople.
- 3. Everything you buy grows.
